British Gaming Peripherals Company Gioteck Appoints Distributor Solutions 2 Go to Drive Further US Market Growth

Gioteck, the award-winning independent peripherals designer and manufacturer, has appointed the distributor Solutions 2 GO (S2G) to further capitalise on its impressive North American market growth to date.

The appointment starts with immediate effect and underlines Gioteck’s ambition to strengthen its relationship with key retailers and to bring a greater range of high quality gaming peripheral to the US consumer.

Solutions 2 GO is a specialized distributor of video game products, whose major customers include Wal-mart, Kmart and Costco.

Matthew Lamprell, CEO, Gioteck says: “North America is a strategically important market for Gioteck. We have achieved 630% sales growth over the last 12 months and grabbed a 22% share in the PS3 third party gaming headset market this year to date.

“The potential in the US is very exciting and we are focused on delivering a profitable product range for our US retail customers. Solutions 2 Go is a great partner to help drive this growth.

“Retailers understand that accessories are becoming an increasingly important part of the category mix. Within five years, we believe that retailers will be making the majority of their revenue from hardware and not software, which puts us in a very strong position.”

In addition, Gioteck is also delighted to announce that UK supermarket chain Asda is to begin listing Gioteck branded products from August 6th in 350 of its stores. This follows on from the German retail giant MSH awarding Gioteck a direct retail account for its 390 stores in April 2012.
